4.2 Earthquake

So the other day, we had a 4.2 earthquake with an epicenter a few miles from our house. The house was grumbling and making all sorts of weird noises. Since our bedroom is technically on the third story and is anchored down by our deck on stilts, I think we really get a good feel to what an earthquake is capable of. A few days later I was trying to put on my favorite jeans fresh from the dryer. I stood there with the tight denim clinging to my thighs...... that's when I started to jump and pull, jump and pull. Lo and behold, the same thrashing about on our third story was taking place, the same noises, the exact same shaking of the lamp. I surmised that I replicate a 4.2 earthquake when trying to shimmy into jeans that don't fit.
